Poster
A group show where several of my posters hung among painting, photography and mixed media — graphic work made to hold its own as art on the wall.
Artnumber 23 is an international group exhibition that gathers contemporary artists across painting, photography, illustration and mixed media into one room. Several of my posters were selected and shown here — graphic work sharing wall space with canvases and photographs rather than sitting in a design-only context.
The images are from the opening: a small white-walled gallery, track lighting, work hung edge to edge, and enough people that you have to angle past shoulders to see anything. Posters hung as exhibition pieces, made to compete with painting, is its own kind of test.
The record here is the event itself — the crowd, the walls, the work in company.
