Poster

A type-specimen poster for Goshuri, a typeface that drags Georgian script into blackletter — heritage forced into Gothic armour.
Goshuri is a typeface experiment, and this poster exists to show it off — a specimen, not a book. The question behind it: can Georgian script, usually rounded and flowing, survive being rebuilt with the heavy strokes and sharp terminals of blackletter?
Mkhedruli letters are reconstructed with Gothic density and stacked into a single towering, slightly unstable glyph that the eye keeps trying to resolve into words and back again. The strip along the bottom shows the typeface in use — wordmark, small samples, applications — purely as examples of the system at work.
The interest is in the strain: familiar Georgian forms wearing unfamiliar armour, carved rather than written, and mostly holding their nerve.
