Poster

An animated poster on the LED billboards of Times Square — part of a twelve-designer tribute to Peter Bankov’s Poster School, later named among Communication Arts’ 2026 Design winners.
For one week in June 2025 (23–29 June, with a synchronised four-screen activation at 5 Times Square on the 25th), my animated poster ran on the giant LED billboards of Times Square as part of “Twice Seen,” a group billboard exhibition staged by the Art Innovation Gallery — the loudest visual environment humans have ever built, briefly turned into a public gallery.
The work came out of the Bankov Poster School’s fifth-anniversary tribute: a motion-poster anthology in the spirit of “Paris, je t’aime,” bringing together twelve graphic designers — all BPS alumni — each animating an eight-second poster. In the organisers’ words: “No clients. No briefs. No limits. Just pure design freedom and gratitude to the BPS and its values: love of aesthetics, weird cats and tasty fish.” The line-up: Peter Bankov; Mikhail Lychkovskiy; Anastasia Temirkhan × Enrico Gisana; Alisa Frolova; Elena Byalaya × Seo Hyojung; Yuliya Ratnikova × Tanya Ermolaeva; Ira Goryacheva; Anatolie Micaliuc; Anastasia Nechiporenko × Vyacheslav Vaganov; me; Nikita Gavrilenko; Olga Severina; and Anna Striuk × Ivan Buka.
My piece is number ten in that sequence, set in the Mega typeface, built around repetition and the way a screen rewards — and wears down — a second look, which was the exhibition’s whole premise: how perception shifts when an image loops back on itself.
The anthology was then recognised in Communication Arts’ 2026 Design competition — one of the most selective juries in the field — a milestone for our whole group, and for a poster that had to hold its own against Times Square itself.
