Third in my Poster4Peace series, treating empathy as a method — and the mouth as a weapon worth loading carefully.
Third in the Understand-Kindness-Empathy-Give Them Noise series for Poster4Peace. The full statement reads EMPATHY IS OUR... WE / KIND, with a smaller line underneath doing the real cutting: "your mouth is a weapon — load it with empathy."
Every letter is drawn from a different distorted alphabet — a stencil M, a barred H, a diamond-shaped O — so the headline looks assembled from incompatible parts that nonetheless agree to spell one idea, white forms over a blue-and-red cosmic gradient. A cluster of sharp diagonal shards slices across the middle: the weapon, made from the same material as the words.
Reading mismatched letterforms into a single sentence is precisely the work empathy asks for — holding shapes that don't naturally fit, and choosing to understand them anyway.
As I put it in one interview: “Recently I stopped postponing and made Not Just Latin, a zine about alphabets behaving in ways that shouldn’t be legal in polite society.”
