TransLaCore — ArtU / Arts for All

Poster

A finalist in ArtU / Arts for All — a poster made where art meets science, branding an invented cancer-research consortium in the gloss of pharma advertising.

ArtU’s Arts for All is a University of Maryland initiative that pairs the arts with the sciences to spark new ways of thinking. My work was selected as a finalist, answering the brief with a poster that sits right on that art–science seam.

It brands an invented research consortium, TransLaCore — “uniting over 140 labs and 185 researchers across Europe to build the future of cancer therapy.” It borrows the look of pharma and tech marketing: a glossy 3D DNA helix erupting into liquid droplets on black, “where proteins meet precision” running tall down the edge, and product-style tags (machine learning, mass spectrometry, RNA therapeutics) floating around the strand like features on a launch page.

The move is to make a research future feel tangible and a little seductive — serious science, dressed as a product launch.
