Yoga for you

Poster

On the body bent into typography — a poster that treats stretching and writing as the same discipline and leaves room to find your own shape.
A poster that treats stretching and writing as the same discipline. The body and the lettering share a single gesture, so it becomes hard to say where the pose ends and the typography begins.
Soft, putty-colored limbs — arms, legs, a curled torso — fold into yoga postures across a white field, modeled like clay rather than drawn. Over and around them sweep large black letterforms with thick-and-thin calligraphic strokes, looping into the same poses the bodies hold; where a leg extends, a stroke extends with it. Small Kannada script and dotted circular motifs thread through like breath or chant marks.
The effect is calm and a little surreal, and it leaves room for the reader to find their own shape in the tangle.
